Carron & Clark

We met in high school in Scotland aged 12 and became great friends all through school. We both went to university in Glasgow and became room mates for a while (still friends!). We both decided we wanted to travel once graduating and him and his friend came out to Perth a few months before my friend and I. We met up in Perth and stayed together for a few months with our friends where we ended up becoming a couple. Fast forward 12 years and we are now married with 2 beautiful children and very much settled in Perth.

I fell in love with my gown as it was definitely something I would never thought I would have chosen and it felt so much more special because of that! Like a 'once in a lifetime' dress.

My favourite memory from our wedding was our first dance with a song tailor made by the band which was absolutely beautiful. We were having a slow dance when my 4 year daughter ran onto the dance floor followed by my 1 year old son and we picked them both up and all danced together. Also my dad's very emotional speech as we lost Mum to cancer 2 years ago. It was a lovely tribute and a touching speech.

I don't have much advice for brides other than to enjoy each moment and not sweat the small stuff, the majority of guests won't even notice any minor glitches and it makes for a good story if something occurs that wasn't planned! 

Our wedding day was so much fun and over in a flash! We had a lot going on in the lead up to the wedding, my husband works FIFO and with 2 young children it was definitely stressful at times trying to organise everything. We also had 15 family members fly out for the wedding which was amazing but busy! It was all so worth it though.
