I fell in love with my gown because it was so different to anything else I’d tried on! It really was the complete opposite of what I had expected to choose, but I just felt so beautiful wearing it and every other dress I tried on after it just didn’t measure up. It honestly is the prettiest dress I’ve ever worn and so many people have commented on what a gorgeous dress it was!
My favourite memory from the wedding day would have to be walking down the aisle and seeing Mitch for the first time, it was such a beautiful moment and we were both really emotional! But I also loved a moment after we had our photos done where the photographer just left us sitting on a bench for a few minutes and we were just talking nonstop about all the things that had happened in the morning and how we were feeling before we saw each other. It was just a little moment where we could relax and just be together before going into our reception.
My main piece of advice for future brides would be to choose bridesmaids who you know will help you and make you feel special on the day. My bridesmaids helped me out so much in the wedding preparations and they made the whole day so much fun! The other piece of advice I have is to intentionally take moments throughout the day to stop, notice all the little details, and spend moments with your groom. The day goes by so quickly and because you’re nervous it’s so easy just to lose yourself in the moment, but having these moments to actually think ‘wow, this is my wedding’ help you to remember the little things.
